The Zoo

It's been too long. In the interest of quantity over quality, I decided to get this posting up ASAP for all of you who are jonesing for a Samuel fix. Yes, we were in the land of Granparentia (thanks Andrea for that great word) and yes, there was Easter madness, but I'll save that for another post. Once we got back, we hit the Woodland Park Zoo with the Moms. The Zoo amuses us more than the kids at this point. I think Sam believes zoos house roving bands of wild children as there were something like four school groups running through the place last week. The boys (and it was all boys this trip) seemed more amused by the kids than anything else. Oh, and all the animals were sleeping. But we did see the jaguar up close! I didn't take a picture because my camera rebels against taking pictures of children. Zack, above, with exciting hair.
Kindra and Elijah, below.

This is Rudy. Don't mess with him. (You'll see why later)

Zack and his most fabulous hat.
With Mama Jen.

Elisabeth (Rudy's mom), Sam and Rudy

(Rudy is not drugged-- he's sleepy. Elisabeth spent most of the time trying to get him to sleep)
And now for the real fun... all four boys, photographed together.
Jen took this. She calls it "Four Bumps on a Log"
Sam, the sensitive flower, is being mauled ever so slightly by Rudy. Zack is trying to crawl away. Elijah is doing his own thing.
Rudy is thinking about going after Sam.
Elisabeth is trying to keep Zack from making an escape.
Mom wrangling. At least we are smiling.
This is how Jen walks now. With a 9 mo old between her feet.
At this point, Zack is about twenty feet away, Sam is trying to crawl up the steps and Rudy is having a snack. I suspect Elijah's inner monologue is "Hunh. Weird."
Tomorrow we are meeting at the mom-friendly cafe. I may get some pictures of the mystery Katelyn and her mom Jen M. With luck, I'll post some trip photos.
